Lessons are currently offered in Hunters, Jumpers, Equitation, and Dressage.  We cater to those who wish to become competitive or those who wish to ride just for fun.

With their depth of expertise, Julio Ledesma, Roberto Daza, Maleigha Light and the LEC staff provide top-notch training for both rider and horse.  We offer instruction with an understanding and encouraging approach that brings out the best in all participants.  Safety and happiness are always the priority, and Julio, along with our instructors, strive to help each student achieve his or her full potential.

Lessons are available at all levels- from the true beginner to the expert showjumper - and for all age levels.  Bring your own horse or ride one of several quality schoolhorses at Ledesma Equestrian Center.

Lesson Guidelines

  1. Ledesma Equestrian Center will provide equipment necessary for the LEC horses used in lessons.
  2. The clients may use their own saddle provided that it has been approved by an LEC staff member.
  3. If assistance is needed from the instructor to properly prepare and care for the horse it will be within the lesson time.
  4. If assistance is not needed from the instructor a student may come early to prepare for their lesson with prior permission.
  5. Students must wear helmets appropriately fitted while riding.
  6. Your first lesson at LEC will be an evaluation of your riding ability to help us determine which class level would be the best for you. Your evaluation instructor will conduct your lesson, explain our school procedures and take you on a short tour of our facility to acquaint you with the locations of the office, stables, tackrooms, restrooms, phone and other important areas.

Call our  office at (407) 295-2925, email or stop by in person to make an appointment for your first evaluation. Please read our Release of Liability & Assumption of Risk Agreement. You must agree to this and sign before riding in our facility.

Canceling Lessons

Since your lesson reserves time with your instructor and the exclusive use of a school horse, we require that you cancel any lessons you cannot attend at least 24 hours before the start of the classes. If you do not cancel a lesson and do not show up for it, it will be considered a "no show" and you may be charged $25.00.

Cancellations may be made by phone or in person. Call the Barn office at (407) 295-2925 and tell the receptionist your name, your instructor and the day and time of your class. You may also reschedule the lesson at this time. If nobody answers, leave a message on the answerring machine.

Procedures for Rainy or Inclement Weather

When it is raining, please call before you come for your lesson. It might not be raining at the LEC even if it is raining at your location.

Although riding lessons
are fun for all ages, the minimum age we can accept as a student is 4 (four) years old.

LEC Gift Certificates are always available and make great holiday gifts!
